Dear Dee,
The wind is winning and the rain is teeming, I'm sitting and watching it all - and wondering why humans insist on wrestling those bendy metal sticks in storms.
But from my little spot on the pavement, I learned something worth holding onto.
You can’t let the rain stop you moving. You can’t let the wind blow you so far off course that you forget where you were heading.
Leave the battle behind. Stand steady. Breathe.
These moments - the wild ones, the noisy ones, the ones that soak you right through - they pass. They always do.
Soon the storm will be over, and brighter skies find you again.
Shake off the raindrops. Lift your face to the light.
And let the music play on.
Yours,
Lexie
